Disclosure: This post is part of my all expense paid trip to Miami, FL to attend the Hispanicize 2017 conference sponsored by, in exchange for my press coverage. All opinions are 100% my own.
Hispanicize 2017 was an amazing event, as usual. I had the opportunity to attend the conference as a Savings.com ambassador for the second year in a row! Hispanicize 2017 was a wealth of knowledge from blogging tips to financial information and more. And through it all, I got to make some amazing connections with my fellow bloggy friends. It was a great time from beginning to end!
One of my greatest honors was being an ambassador for Savings.com. You all know how devoted I am to finding deals for myself and you. Savings.com is a site totally committed to doing exactly what it says – savings. Tell them what stores and categories you like and your location, and they get you the best deals in the area. They are a PERFECT fit for my lifestyle and my brand, so being their ambassador was an exciting experience.
This year’s Hispanicize was all about influencers and entertainers coming together to share their knowledge in their respective industries with each other and put that knowledge to good use. The DiMe Summit was held at the Rubell Family Collection in Miami’s famous Wynwood Arts District. This area of Miami is home to over 70 art galleries and one of the largest open-air street-art installations in the world. It’s a testament to the creativity of the human spirit and consequently made the perfect place to hold the conference.
Hispanicize 2017 – Influencers Unite
Business and Financial Freedom
For the past three years, the first day of the Hispanicize event is dedicated to the DiMe Summit. An exclusive one-day influencer only event for Latino and multicultural creators and celebrities. The day started with a nice breakfast and filled with various sessions to choose from including how to’s on food videos, food photography, and how to hold successful meetups. We ended the day with Prudential’s “Strut Your Best Financial Fashion Show!”
The biggest highlight of the day was the financial summit. Speakers, The Great Girlfriends and Angela and Piera, DiMe co-founders, came together to help attendees realize their full financial potential and stop hiding behind excuses. I came away from the event with a renewed sense of purpose and hope for my finances, and I’m ready to take on the world!
The entire day was a blast. Learned so much about how to improve photography and video, which is always good! How I can make my finances work best for me, my life, and my future. If Hispanicize 2017 had ended right there, it would have been worth it. That’s the great thing about this conference. They give you so much to learn and work with!
Giveaways, Ride and Drives, and Unity
Many giveaways took place during Hispanicize 2017, a great one was the Savings.com of $200 Visa Gift Card! We also had the opportunity to attend the Home Depot Breakfast, where we made plant arrangements and participated in a gift card giveaway – I didn’t win. =(
Another interesting event was the exclusive lunch with NBCUniversal to celebrate Telemundo’s new #ElPoderEnTi initiative. Jose Diaz-Balart of Telemundo and NBC News, as well as other noted figures in the industry, came together to promote the power of unity between all of us. In this day and age, unity is more important than ever, and it was wonderful to lunch and learn with such accomplished and respected individuals about the topic.
We were also able to visit the Prudential lounge, where we got to participate in a photo opportunity, a game of Jeopardy, and get free financial advice from the Prudential experts! In addition, we were able to get a look at new products and get advice from companies such as United Airlines, Florida Dairy Farmers, Wells Fargo, Cooper Tires, and more. Even Instagram and Facebook were on hand!
Another memorable sponsor moment for me from Hispanicize 2017 was the Ride and Drive Event from Toyota! I got to drive a Rav4 Hybrid all the way to Ricky’s at South Beach! While we were there, we had a great time snacking, mingling, and singing karaoke with Toyota executives.
Rounding it out with the Tecla Awards!
Hispanicize 2017 ended with all of us attending the Tecla Awards! My fellow attendees and I were able to take advantage of a makeover courtesy of JCPenney allowing us to get red carpet ready and hobnob in style! It was an amazing cap to an equally amazing event!
Hispanicize 2017 – Another Great One!
I had so much fun at Hispanicize 2017. As always, it was full of amazing learning and recreational opportunities and NO shortage of networking with some amazing people! I am so proud to have been able to attend Hispanicize 2017 and thanks to Savings.com for the opportunity to represent them! I look forward to attending again next year!
